The brain is lazy; it is easier for it to devalue than to expend the massive energy required to grasp the meaning of abstraction. Laughter at modern art is the brain's defensive reaction to an overly complex stimulus, for which it lacks the knowledge, the contextual toolkit, and—most importantly—the cognitive capacity to process.
An individual with primitive neural architecture, whose ancestors derived dopamine from numbing sources (alcohol, aggression), is stuck in "fight or flight" mode; the "Black Square" is perceived by them as a personal insult or stupidity, because it provides no practical utility here and now.
The nervous system of a person with low-performance cognitive architecture is limited by survival mode and is consequently insensitive to the nuances of reality. Neural pathways responsible for aesthetic, conceptual, or mathematical ecstasy have atrophied—shed like heavy ballast from a sinking ship.
The luxury of reflecting on God and art can be afforded only by a HOMO SUPERIOR who has won the evolutionary cognitive advantage.
